Key responsibilities
- Meet and greet all visitors and present a positive and professional image at all times.
- Answer and direct internal and external calls correctly.
- Report any technical problems encountered on the switchboard in time to the Operations Manager.
- Ensure that the switchboard is manned at all times and messages correctly and promptly forwarded to recipients.
- Ensure to switch the switchboard to night mode before leaving for the day.
- Ensure that the reception area is kept neat and tidy at all times.
Experience
- 1 – 3 Years experience as a receptionist (on an Avaya switchboard an added advantage)
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Microsoft Office (Outlook)
- Receptionist training course (added advantage)
- Proficiency in English language essential
