As a Senior Paralegal Deceased Estate Administrator and Estate Planner, you will have the privilege of reporting directly to the CEO, gaining valuable exposure and experience within our esteemed organisation.


Key Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Take ownership of the entire deceased estate administration process, from opening the file to closing the matter. This includes obtaining the letter of executorship, reporting, drafting L&D accounts, preparing final accounts, and ensuring a seamless closure.
  • Handle all financial aspects of transactions, including collecting costs/disbursements from clients, invoicing, and addressing general accounting queries.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders such as tax and accounting services, corporate governance, and external parties such as banks, municipalities, rates consultants, estate agents, deeds office, and SARS.
    Ensure strict compliance with various financial institutions' procedures and processes.
  • Take charge of mentoring and managing a staff member within the Fiduciary Services Business.
  • Provide valuable estate planning and wills writing services to the advisors.


What we need from you:

  • Matric (Grade 12 passed) and a paralegal qualification.
  • Relevant qualification in deceased estate administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in administering deceased estates.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, particularly VLOOKUP, will be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office 365 package (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and own transport.
