JOB DESCRIPTION
OK Minimark Watsonia Cashiers are the most important point of contact making it one of the most important job in our retail operation.
Your position as a cashier is broader than just serving customers.

First and foremost our retail business of which we insist will maintain an excellent customer satisfaction experience when shopping in our store and customer service is of utmost priority and importance.
- Focus on attention to detail and multitask are important for a successful Cashier
- Be fast and efficient
- Great customer service always
- Promote specials and upsell products (offer customer’s airtime, lotto etc.)
If customer asks for cigarettes, ask if they need a lighter
- Ensure you are aware of stores current promotional offers, discounts, “OK Infinity loyalty Card and be able to answer questions about promotions and pricing
This must be facilitated as it will benefit the success of the business and benefit customer
- Ensure you ask customers for their loyalty card. If they don’t have one offer them one.
- Ensure to complete the form with unregistered cards. Customers do not get our marketing messages if they are not registered on the system
- Maintain correct stock levels at your workstation and ensure all products are available. If not, make a list of products needed before they run out.
- Follow the prescribed HSES
- Ensure your work station is spotlessly clean and free from clutter
- Ensure products behind counter are displayed neatly and visible to customer
- All transactions must be conducted with a pleasant, helpful manner to all customers, no matter how busy the store may be.
- Have knowledge of shop layout and where products are in the store
- Ensure company policies are adhered to.
- Follow correct procedure should there be an incident. Incident report form must be completed and given to Management
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: R4,000.00 - R6,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Rustenburg, North West: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Education:
- High School (matric) (Preferred)
Experience:
- Retail: 1 year (Preferred)
Language:
- English (Preferred)
- Afrikaans (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Code 8 (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 75% (Preferred)
