Duties/Pligte Kindly note that the Stellenbosch University system will be offline from 07 June 2023 until 11 June 2023 after which time you will be able to apply for this vacancy.

• Delivering psychological services to students, prospective students as well as scholars (Grade R to 7), including psychometric assessment, academic counselling, career development counselling and psychotherapy;
• Presenting workshops;

• Performing administrative tasks;
• Participating in individual and group supervision;
• Case presentations;
• Relevant research to support case work.

  Lewering van sielkundige dienste aan studente, voornemende studente asook skoliere (Gr R tot 7), met inbegrip van psigometriese assessering, akademiese voorligting, loopbaanontwikkeling en psigoterapie;
• Die aanbied van werksessies;
• Sielkundige verslagskrywing;
• Voer inname onderhoude;
• Hantering van administratiewe werk;
• Deelname aan individuele- en groepsupervisie;
• Die aanbied van gevallevoordragte;
• Toepaslike navorsing om gevallewerk toe te lig.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

• Proof of registration or proof of successful completion of a structured Master's programme in Educational Psychology:
• A completed module in Career Counselling at Master's level:
• Proof of a BEd degree or a postgraduate certificate in Education or a relevant post school qualification in Education:
• Knowledge of and experience in a narrative approach to career counselling:
• A scientific-practical approach to the development of essential skills to foster student success:
• Knowledge of the Children's Act No. 38 of 2005 and the application thereof;
• Knowledge and experience with regards to therapeutic interventions of younger children and parents:
• Experience in the creation and facilitation of working sessions for groups:
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Intern Psychologist in Educational Psychology on appointment:
• Computer proficiency;
• The ability to work under pressure;
• The ability to work effectively in a team;
• The ability to work according to a fixed schedule in a structured environment and deliver a quality service.

• 
  Bewys van registrasie of bewys van voltooiing van 'n gestruktureerde Meestersgraadprogram in Opvoedkundige Sielkunde;
• Voltooide module in Loopbaanvoorligting op Meestersgraadvlak;
• Bewys van `n BEd-graad of nagraadse Onderwyssertifikaat, of `n ander toepaslike naskoolse onderwyskwalifikasie;
• Kennis van en ervaring in die narratiewe benadering tot beroepsvoorligting;
• 'n Wetenskaplik-praktiese benadering tot die ontwikkeling van essensiële vaardighede om studentesukses te bevorder;
• Kennis van die Kinderwet Nr 38 van 2005 en die toepassing daarvan;
• Kennis van en ervaring in terapeutiese intervensies met jonger kinders en ouers;
• Ervaring in die samestelling en fasilitering van werksessies vir groepe;
• Registrasie by die Raad vir Gesondheidsberoepe van Suid-Afrika (RGBSA) as Internsielkundige in Opvoedkundige Sielkunde op datum van indiensname;
• Rekenaarvaardigheid;
• Die vermoë om onder druk te werk;
• Die vermoë om effektief in spanverband te werk;
• Die vermoë om volgens 'n vasgestelde skedule in 'n gestruktureerde omgewing 'n kwaliteitdiens te lewer.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling

• Work experience within a multidisciplinary professional team;
• Work experience in the South African school context;
• Above average written and verbal proficiency in English and one other official South African language.

• Werkservaring in die Suid-Afrikaanse skolekonteks;
• Bogemiddelde skriftelike en mondelinge taalvaardigheid in Engels sowel as een van die ander amptelike tale in Suid-Afrika.
