Brief Job Description:
- Shadowing of Legal Advisors (occasionally the Legal Manager) to meetings to understand the role of inhouse legal counsel.
- Be able to plan and complete projects. This includes the ability to identify and solve issues by applying professional standards required of a legal professional. The individual must also be able to write, edit, and revise effective messages.
- Attend to research of case law relevant to matters being handled by the Legal team.
- Taking of minutes at meetings and ensuring case files are updated as matters are working on by the members of the Legal Team.
- Attend various meetings with external legal counsel who are on the panel of TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa (Pty) Ltd to understand the value that they add to existing matters.
