A promotional goods supplier is looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production in work. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. If you are up to it, we’d like to talk to you.
The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:
- Planning, Forecasting (SYNC) and Purchasing of fabrics /trims
- Estimate costs and prepare budgets
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Tracking of production schedules and cost adjustments to ensure smooth running
- Regular follow ups and updating of SYNC system/schedules and feedback to sales team
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Report to upper management
- Track costs for labour and any raw materials received and shipping off final goods to different locations.
- Determines how much input goes into making each product and schedules it to be processed efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as production manager - Good people management skills and management of staff.
- Deep knowledge of production management
- Extensive knowledge of SYNC
- Degree/Diploma in Production will be a bonus however experience is vital
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Always remain transparent so that all activities fall within budget.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office , Excel , Word
- Excellent communication, numeracy and computer literacy skills.
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and be very detail-oriented. Must be proactive, Always keeping the end-user/customer in mind.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimise risk.
- Be able to work with a production team, collaborate to meet any quotas that need to be completed
- Must be able to work alongside general production workers and factories.
- Working well with many different departments and external suppliers. Able to maintain good working relationships with suppliers - Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with various teams.
- Ability to meet customer deliveries and deadlines - Being results and deadline-driven.
- Must work well under pressure
- Must have a love for animals
- Must be a non-smoker
