Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Reporting Specialist to join their team. As a Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient reporting processes within the group risk area. Your expertise in tools such as Tableau, Hadoop, CCRS, SQL Server, Qlik, and process mapping will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive and insightful reports to the team and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Steerco Reporting: Utilize your proficiency in Tableau, Hadoop, CCRS, and SQL Server to extract, analyze, and present data related to reporting in the group risk area. Prepare and deliver regular updates to the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication of key findings and insights.
Data Lineage Architecture: Create and maintain a robust architecture of data lineage from Qlik to Hadoop and SQL Server. Develop visualizations, such as process maps, to illustrate the flow and transformation of data, ensuring maximum efficiency and data integrity.
Reporting Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and enhance data visualization techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting workflows, automate data extraction and analysis, and implement best practices for reporting efficiency.
Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Perform regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting outputs. Identify and resolve any data discrepancies or issues promptly, working closely with relevant teams to address root causes and implement preventive measures.
Documentation and Training: Document reporting processes, data lineage architecture, and best practices to create comprehensive and user-friendly reference materials. Conduct training sessions to educate team members on reporting tools, techniques, and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Reporting Specialist or similar role, preferably within the financial industry.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau, Hadoop, CCRS, SQL Server, and Qlik, with the ability to extract, analyze, and visualize complex data sets.
- Knowledge of data lineage concepts and experience in creating process maps to visualize data flow.
- Familiarity with risk management and regulatory reporting requirements is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to present complex data and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
